Skinny Girls Fashion: June 2011

I know I am skinny, and all of you followers are probably skinny too, and black is said to make you look even slimmer, but, if you wear black so it compliments your figure, your look will be sure-fire! First, you need to go to the nearest Goodwill, or Thrift Store. I know that might sound cheap, and you probably don't want to shop there, but trust me, you'll find the greatest buys that are super good quality also! Browse around in the dress section and find the black dresses. You will be amazed at how many there are! Just find one you like, and try it on! Believe it or not, but at Goodwills and Thrift Stores, you can find designer brands, and buy them for only less than half the price! Some of the things there havn't even been used more than once! There's DKNY, Gucci, and tons more! Now, here are some tips on picking the perfect dress:

Tip #1: If you want to show off your legs, go for a mini dress. But, be careful that it isn't too short. Make sure that it is 4 inches above your knee for a cute, and classy look.

Tip #2: If you've got the hips, which I don't, haha, go for a slight hugging dress. It shouldn't be super form-fitting that it shows everything, but it should be enough to hug your curves.

Tip #3: If your a tall, slim girl, I suggest an empire-waist dress. If you don't know what that is, it's a dress that has a tie that ties almost right under your bust. This dress looks fabulous on tall people, because it really brings out your legs, and gives your bust some more oomph!

Tip #4: If your someone with a full bust, I suggest a panel dress. A panel dress is a dress that has a cut-out shape that is sort-of like color-blocking. I will have some pictures as well. This dress shapes your curves, and helps accentuate your bust from the cut-out design.

Tip #5: If you have a flat bust, I suggest a dress with sequins, jewels, or a bow near the collar area. This helps out your bust, to give it more shape.

Now, for the shoes. Picking shoes is easier because with a black dress, anything goes! You can make aby color, or any pattern work with a black dress! Here are some tips on picking the perfect shoes:

Tip #1: Flats are still fab! Us girls may think that heels are everything, and we should wear them all the time, but sometimes it looks trampy, and not classy paired with a cute black dress. Be simple, just pick cute, detailed ballet flats, or peep toe flats to show off your pedicure!

Tip #2: Don't wear sandals! Sandals, like gladiators, or anything along that line, will make the sexy, classy look of your black dress, look trashy! You need to look sleek, and sandals will ruin the effect.

Tip #3: Go for wedges! They are 10 times more comfortable than heels are, and can work for any dress! But, if you want pumps, or heels, that's entirely up to you. Everyone's got their own style!
